Madrid, Spain
Hey loves :)
I don't even know where to begin about our trip to Spain!! My husband and I got married about 6 months ago. Since our wedding included 4 separate ceremonies, and a trip to Cabo for the final wedding, we held off on a honeymoon. Spain had been on our must see list so we decided to call it our honeymoon and booked the trip! We did 3 days in Madrid and 3 days in Barcelona. Overall, we got to see so many hidden gems and so much history in both cities. We booked a private tour in both cities through a company called Withlocals.I HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking to learn more about a new city without having to be in a huge guided tour group with 50 other people.
While in Madrid we ate tapas, drank amazing wine, and visited all the history and hidden streets the city had to offer! Check out some of the best places we went to below!
WINE & FOOD
^ Vinoteca Vides was a charming little wine bar in the beautiful Chueca neighborhood in Madrid
^ El Tigre is a hidden gem in Chueca, Madrid. You walk into this place and order a wine and a beer for 4euros and they give you a HUGE PLATE of delicious tapas!
^ Mercado de San Miguel -BY FAR our favorite place in Madrid. We went back every night for the endless tapas and wine! You walk through the aisles and grab a plate of anything that catches your eye (which is literally everything- good thing it's super cheap too!)
^ The Royal Palace of Madrid - Of course we had to pay a visit to one of the most historical sites in Madrid- the Royal Palace.
^ Retiro Park - We strolled through this beautiful park and stumbled upon the Crystal Palace , definitely a must see!
There are so many more site and photos to share but that sums up our favorites! Madrid was amazing, and We definitely plan to come back here very soon.
