Madrid

Hey loves πŸ™‚

I don’t even know where to begin about our trip to Spain. My husband and I got married about 6 months ago, and since our wedding was so many months long, we held off on a honeymoon. Spain has been on our to-do list so we decided to call it our honeymoon and booked the trip! We did 3 days in Madrid and 3 days in Barcelona. Overall, we got to see so many hidden gems and so much history in both cities. We booked a private tour in both cities through a company called Withlocals. I HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking to learn more about a city without having to be in a huge guided tour group with 50 other people. In Madrid we ate tapas, drank amazing wine, and visited all the history and hidden streets Madrid had to offer! Check out some of the best places we went to below!

WINE

^^^^^^^
Vinoteca Vides was a charming little wine bar in the beautiful Chueca neighborhood in Madrid

FOOD

^^^^^^^
El Tigre is a hidden gem in Chueca, Madrid. You walk into this place and order a wine and a beer for 4euros and they give you a HUGE PLATE of delicious tapas!
^^^^^^^
Mercado de San Miguel was BY FAR our favorite place in Madrid. We went back every night for the endless tapas and wine! You walk through the aisles and grab a plate of anything that catches your eye (which is literally everything- good thing it’s super cheap too!)
^^^^^^^
Tandoor Station – on our final night in Madrid we were craving some Indian food…After visiting Tandoori Station, I’m not sure that I can eat at another Indian restaurant again! It was SO AMAZING

SIGHTS

^^^^^^^
The Royal Palace of Madrid – Of course we had to pay a visit to one of the most historical sites in Madrid- the Royal Palace.
^^^^^^^
Retiro Park – We strolled through this beautiful park and stumbled upon the Crystal Palace , definitely a must see!
Plaza Mayor– Another great tourist attraction with rich history!

Overall, Madrid was AMAZING! We definitely plan to come back here very soon!

Check out our trip to Barcelona here!
