SKIMS- Review by Sab
About two months ago I bought Kim Kardashian’s shape wear line- SKIMS. I had no desire to strike a pose half naked in shape wear for my family and friends to see sooooo this review will lack photos, but I am giving my honest opinion about the product!
I’ve been wearing shape wear for many years and I definitely have my go-to pairs. The problem I’ve always had when purchasing shape wear is needing to size up. I had never found a pair that I was able to squeeze into AND be comfortable in all day/night. To my surprise, SKIMS proved me wrong. Originally I ordered a size up and got the L/XL bodysuit. While I was still SQUEEZING my body into it, once it was on it was actually loose!! I ended up returning it and sizing down to the S/M. Something about size Small being in that category scared me away but rest assured, SKIMS is in fact true to size. While it was even more difficult to squeeze into the S/M size, once I did I was shocked how breathable it really was. I ended up trying on dresses that I wore to my bachelorette party 2 years ago and they looked amazing!! I WISH I had my pair of SKIMS back then!! My favorite part is that it truly LIFTS your booty instead of making it look flat like most of my other pairs do.
While standing in one of my old dresses wearing my full SKIMS body suit, I realized I needed to pee. This meant I had to take my whole dress off AND my SKIMS bodysuit off just to get the job done. I’m sure Kim K is coming up with a new variation to the bodysuit as we speak. But yes, HUGE downside of the SKIMS bodysuits is not being able to go to the bathroom without removing all clothing. I wear the bodysuits when I know I’ll only be out for a few short hours. I also got a pair of the mid thigh shorts and this is the option I’ll wear out all night. It hugs me in all the right places and I feel super confident in tight dresses.
Overall, I like the product and the material doesn't feel cheap. If you plan on buying SKIMS, don't shy away from your true size- IT WILL BE SUPER HARD TO PUT ON but once it’s on it’s great! Shop the products I got below!
